Celeb Find: Angelina Jolie's Gerard Darel Bag

When I saw Angelina Jolie's bag yesterday, I had to find it.

After a few hours of searching, I discovered that it is the Gerard Darel Dublin 24 Hour Bag.

It seems to be the bag of choice for Jolie right now and she has been spotted toting it as she's out with the kids in New York City.

The bag itself is a hand-knit popcorn knit tote in Havana. Each bag has pompom tassels, popcorn knitting, and leather straps. It's big enough to carry all the busy mom essentials and chic enough to look good while on the go.

The price tag isn't too bad either. Priced at $399.

Ubi: Modern Changing Tables for Modern Families

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of changing tables. I did purchase one with my oldest son and I literally changed one diaper there. I personally preferred a mobile changing station that would go with me wherever the baby and I were in the house. The downside of a mobile station is that you and baby are down on the floor using whatever blanket and open space you can find at that moment.

The new modern changing table from Ubi is the perfect solution. The Ubi is designed to be used on the floor. Its sleek and stylish design is available in a selection of retro mod inspired designs and two wood finishes (cherry and natural). The top is upholstered with an anti-microbial surface that just wipes clean.

Attention has been paid to safety with a built in fastener to keep baby in place during diaper changes. Plus there is less fall risk than traditional changing tables as baby is inches off the floor instead of several feet in the air.

Available in two models the "basic" for $89 and the "deluxe" for $119. The difference is the built in diaper dispenser in the deluxe model. Just load it with 8 - 10 diapers and a new one pops into place after each change.

The Ubi is currently available at select retailers and at ubi-baby.com

Celeb Style Find: Boden's Spotty Dress Top

Dressing like a celebrity toddler doesn't have to cost a fortune. Heidi Klum proved that budget fashion is perfect for her daughter Leni as the two left preschool earlier this week.

Leni is wearing the Spotty Dress Top from Boden in berry. Intentionally longer than the average top. Perfect as a stand-alone dress over tights for toddlers and casual over jeans for older girls.

Constructed out of soft, comfy cotton jersey to the colour and shape after repeated washings. Avaible in mocca, blue, or berry.

The best feature of the dress -- priced at only $32 making this an affordable celebrity find.

Biome 5: Eco-friendly Tees for Animal Lovers

I have been blessed with a child who loves animals and nature. Many kids like animals, my son LOVES them. He watches animal documentaries and tells the biologists at the zoo all of the animal facts they attempt to teach him. The library at his school started special ordering books to feed his interest. He's planning to be an animal rescuer when he grows up. He truly loves animals and nature.

So when I discovered the tees by BioMe5, I was absolutely thrilled. The BioMe5 alphabet shirts are all inspired by the Earth's biomes (deserts, grasslands, aquatics, forests, etc.). The collection (A - Z) is full of vibrant colors, super-size letters, and awesome animal graphis showing the residents of the various biomes.

Designed by two architectural designers in Venice, California, the tees capture the world from the child's perspective. The animal names on the shirts are even upside down, so the child can read what they say as they wear them!

Each tees is constructed from certified organic cotton and shipped in biodegradable plastic bags.

Available in sizes from 2T - 6T. (I'm crossing my fingers that they start making the tees for older kids.)

They have just released a long-sleezed version of the tees just in time for fall.

Check them out at http://www.biome5.com/

I'm Loving Old Navy's New Graphic Hoodies

When you live in a cold climate area this time of year can be difficult. It starts off cool, gets nearly hot in the afternoon, and cools off quickly at night. As a result, we end up with a collection of hoodies to layer with the standard tees and jeans for the boys.

I love the new collection of hoodies from Old Navy. Full of edgy graphics and neutral colors -- they have what my 7-year-old calls "cool-boy" appeal. Priced at an affordable $24.50, they have a definite "budget-mom" appeal too!

Inside Trista and Ryan Sutter's Nursery

US Weekly gives us a glimpse inside the nursery that Trista and Ryan Sutter created for their one-month-old, Maxwell Alston Sutter.

Ryan says of his family, "I love to come home to see Trista and Max sleeping - he'll be snuggled up next to her."

Max is wearing a "Property of" onesie by Baby Candy.

The nursery features a Casablanca crib in Pewter, a Zanzibar Rocking Cradle, and a Chelsea Changer changing table / dresser from Bratt Decor. Trista says, "When Max is on his changing table he is always looking around.

Trista and Ryan keep Maxwell's room "green" and used special non-toxic paint and set up the crib with an organic mattress from GreenNest.com.

The entire nursery was designed by Trista with the help of NewArrivalsInc.com.

Trista and Ryan's favorite thing in Max's room is in the rocker from AngelSong.net.

Trista has incorporated her love of books into Maxwell's nursery. She explains, "We actually had a book shower...it was a wonderful idea from my friend's mom who was a schoolteacher."

The adorable bunny on top of the bookshielf came straight from dad. "That is the first present Ryan gave to Max. He was in an airport and brought it back for me when I was pregnant."

Trista customized pcifiers just for Max with sayings like "future firefighter" and "baby sutter" from mypacifier.com.

These days Trista adjusting to life as a new mom and working on a new line of baby bags, at TristaBaby.com.

Shootsie: Ultra Silky Blankets for Baby

If you spend much time shopping for baby blankets, you're used to seeing beautiful plush blankies in traditional baby colors in baby friendly fabrics. A new addition to the baby blanket selection is Shootsie who have introduced an amazing collection of ultra-plush blankets for baby constructed in satin. Yes, satin for babies. I was amazed at how durable they truly are.

The Shootsie Collection of satin blankets are created in a variety of bright color combinations, ultra soft satin fabric, and contain such a high-level of detail elements that they are ideal for a pampered tot. The hand quality of the blanket including the ruffles, hand-stitching, and other fine details make them an heirloom treasure sure to be loved by both mom and child for years to come. The blankets are all machine washable so even though they look too good for baby to use, they are designed to take a beating.

They are a little spendy with prices ranging from $122 - $144. You may not want to purchase one yourself, but when your friends and family ask for shower requests I'd put it near the top of my list.

My personal favorite is the Rock-A-Bye-Shootsie blanket in "mud brown, lilac and parrot green". The unique color combination would make a perfect shower gift for either a girl or a boy.

Another Shootsie bonus, a portion of their proceeds goes to support the International Rhino Foundation an organization created to protect the endangered Black Rhino population of the world.

Zoobie Pets: Plush Animal, Pillow and Blanket Rolled Into One

When you spend your time writing about baby and kids products, it can take a lot to really impress you. Zoobie Pets really, really impressed me.

Zoobie Pets are a combination of plush animal, soft pillow, and comfy blanket all rolled into one. The perfect little friend for your child to carry along for road-trips or days at daycare. The plush animal part is truly inspired by real animals, cute but not cutesy. Inspired by animals from the Kalahari Desert to the marshy wetlands of the Okhavango Delta.

Hidden within the safari friend is a plush blanket that can be unrolled for on-the-go naptime. Roll it up and stuff the blanket into its pocket and you have a comfy pillow for travel time in the car. Roll the pillow up and tie a couple of ties and its back to a fun safari friend.

Zoobie Pets were recently included in the gift bags at Trista Sutter’s baby shower and have a growing collection of celebrity fans.

Check out www.zoobiepets.com for a retailer near you.
